The Company

Crown AutoPro was originally founded in 1997 by president and owner Jim McFarlane. We started out by selling used cars, then added service and the Suzuki new car franchise which we had until 2013 when Suzuki pulled their new cars out of Canada. With the experience, however, we remain the authorized repair facility and parts supplier of Suzuki in the area.

In 2013 we also became a NAPA AutoPro Repair & Service shop for all makes of vehicles. Our main goal is to provide a high quality of service at a reasonable price and to make sure every customer is treated with the utmost respect and courtesy. We have consistently achieved these results over the years as evidenced by our loyal customers. Our customer base is constantly growing and we welcome all new customers regardless of the make of their vehicle.

I have been the owner of Crown Auto for the past 20 years. Over the years I have developed managerial and ownership skills by being a bank manager at the Royal Bank of Canada as well as owned other businesses such as financial brokerage company, a men’s clothing store, as well as a Used and New car dealership. In my spare time I enjoy small woodworking projects around the house as well as playing golf and spending an afternoon on the boat.

I have been with Crown AutoPro since 2007. I started selling vehicles for Crown Auto Sales and moved back to the service department in 2011. Since being in the service department my role has been service advisor although I perform numerous other daily duties. I have been in the retail/sales and customer service business since my early teenage years so I am very comfortable in looking after people. In my spare time I enjoy heading to the golf course. I played competitively growing up so being out on the course is like my second home!

I began working with Crown in the summer of 2010. Before joining the Crown AutoPro team I attended NBCC to develop my automotive technician skills. During my time at Crown I have had the opportunity to perform all different kinds of mechanical/maintenance work. From oil changes, tire installations/changes, Rustchecks, brake work, suspension work, I’ve pretty well done it all. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my wife and 2 children. I also enjoy hunting as well as being a gamer. My go to game is Call of Duty on the PS4. Some say I am a better shot on Call of Duty then I am in real life.

I came to work for Crown in 2014. I have been in the automotive industry since 1985 and have held every position beginning from wash bay right up to licensed technician. Along with being able to perform all repairs and maintenance on vehicles my specialty is Diagnostics and Driveability concerns. I hold the belief that honesty is the best policy. I will never tell someone their vehicle needs something when it really doesn’t. In my spare time I enjoy packing up and heading for a nice relaxing evening at the camp.
